What is Prayer?
"Talking to God" - You can talk to God as He was your loving father.

It is the act of speaking everything truthfully to your very close Friend in "Jesus Christ".
You should call Him with faith as He is listening to you.
What Bible tells about "Prayer"?
  • Matthew 5:44
    But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;
  • Matthew 6:5-8
    5. And when thou prayest, thou shalt not be as the hypocrites are: for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward.
    6. But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly.
    7. But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking.
    8. Be not ye therefore like unto them: for your Father knoweth what things ye have need of, before ye ask him.
  • Matthew 21:22
And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive.
  • Matthew 26:39
And he went a little further, and fell on his face, and prayed, saying, O my Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me: nevertheless not as I will, but as thou wilt.
  • Matthew 26:41
Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.
  • Mark 1:35

  • Mark 11:24-26
    24. Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.
    25. And when ye stand praying, forgive, if ye have ought against any: that your Father also which is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses.
    26. But if ye do not forgive, neither will your Father which is in heaven forgive your trespasses.
  • Mark 13:33
Take ye heed, watch and pray: for ye know not when the time is.
  • Mark 14:38
Watch ye and pray, lest ye enter into temptation. The spirit truly is ready, but the flesh is weak.

Prayer for a Wedding Anniversary
O God, I thank you that you have given us another year of life together.

I thank you,
For the love which grows more precious and for the bonds which grow more close each day. I thank you,
For the happiness we have known together.
For the sorrows we have faced together.
For all the experiences of sunshine and of shadow through which we have come to to-day.
I ask your forgiveness,
For anything which spoiled even for a moment the perfect relationship which marriage should be.
Spare us for each other to go on walking the way of life together, and grant that for us it may be true that the best is yet to be; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen
